Lake Sinclair

Lake Sinclair in Georgia is a beautiful place to visit and a great place to live. This man-made lake serves multiple purposes in that it helps provide hydro electricity and also creates a gorgeous place to live where you can enjoy lake activities and a beautiful landscape. Are you thinking about buying a home, renting a vacation home or building your own place on the lake?

Many people are discovering that this is a great place to build or buy an existing home. Some people from Atlanta, Macon or other large Georgia cities put their holiday homes here because it's not a very long commute and others live here year round. There are over 400 miles of shoreline and living here provides a great lakeside lifestyle. Year round living is something that's on the increase in the area, especially for people that are retired. It's a great lifestyle and an affordable place to buy a waterfront home.

Many real estate developers are looking to invest in waterfront property all over the country. Prices on waterfront continue to soar. Lake Sinclair is one of the few places that are still quite affordable. No other waterfront is being "made" anymore so it's a great investment that more than likely will increase in value. You can still afford to buy a decent sized lot here when you compare it to many other waterfront areas and you aren't in the midst of nowhere in this area. There are decent sized communities within easy commuting distance.

Looking for Georgia lake property and other resources?

Imagine living in a home where you have access to boating, fishing and swimming from your back yard. There's over 15,000 acres of water to enjoy here. If you're interested in a fishing report for Lake Sinclair, this is an angler's dream come true. Alligators are not a problem and Lake Sinclair is one of the least polluted lakes in the state.  From a fishing perspective, crappie, catfish, bass and other species are plentiful.

There are three types of land purchases around the lake including: fully deeded, lease strip and lease lot. It's important to understand what you're buying when you look at property or a home for sale around the lake. Talking to a real estate agent who knows the area well is a good idea and there's a big range of available places to live here ranging from small cabins to very large executive homes.
